Katie and Alli's Birthday Party

Isn't this cake pretty? Well, it's not really a 14 yo's style, but Katie sure loved it! (insert-"you got to have whatever cake you wanted for 12 years and you get to see the Jonas Brothers in August" here) I don't know if you can tell by the picture, but the crown is made from cupcakes! Katie didn't care what it was made out of, IT HAD 3 PRINCESSES ON IT!!

Katie and Elizabeth-these 2 were cut from the same cloth, let me tell ya!! Cuter than a button and ornery!

We did something a little different, and easy, this year. We had it on a Friday night and picked up Little Caesar's pizza for $5 a piece!! Karen brought coleslaw, watermelon, and salad, and I made pasta salad, pop and chips, well, I didn't MAKE the pop and chips. (don't you wish you had family that brought food to a party?!)

It was fun day! We're lucky to have cousins that have so much fun together!

A Day At The Zoo

Last week, Abby and Elliott Mohre, Alli, Katie, Dani, and I went to the Ft. Wayne Zoo. It was a perfect day, weather wise. There was some cloud cover, so we could walk around and melt into a puddle! We rode a pony, and the day was not complete until you get a butterfly painted on your face!

Swimming At Grandma and Papa's

We've tried to spend a lot of time swimming at Grandma and Papa's. The pool was quite refressing on those hot, hot days!!!
Unfortunately, the pool has been about the color of mountain dew, so grandma has had to get lots of chemicals to straighten things out. It's now blue, just not quite clear yet. But, since it's only 69 degrees, we won't be in it this week anyway!

It was a cold baseball season! Many times we sat with blankets, umbrellas, and even winter coats! But we made it and Nick had a pretty good time.

For those watchers that don't know this man, he's a pastor at our church....hmmmmm, you say? He started out working with the youth, explains it all, doesn't it.

Katie has officially learned how to swing herself! Much to my laziness, I love it! It's bitter-sweet, though, my little girl is growing up. WAAAAAHHHH!!!
