This is Katie, with her cousins Brittany and Elizabeth.

Didn't I do a great job on the cake? NOT!! I tried doing Nick's cake for his birthday. After 2 times of it not coming out of the pan, we had cupcakes and a very frustrating start to the day. We decided that it was worth the money to buy the cake. And how could I compete with a DQ Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Blizzard Cake?>
The girls blowing out the candles! I think even Elizabeth got into it!

Here's Tayte and Nick "spearing" and shooting a homemade bow and arrow. I will spare you the pictures of the frogs they speared. Isn't that gross???? They actually brought them in the house! I think I need to read Dr. Dobson's Bringing Up Boys.

Here's Bev and Karen enjoying some relaxing conversation. And yes, Karen's cup is gently resting on our newest addition to the family!

All in all, I think it was a memorable occasion. Katie loves when her cousins come to play, she got some really great, thoughtful gifts, and she fell into bed exhausted. You can't get much better than that...
Alli is going to have a special 13th party with some friends. We can't decide on what to do. Smoothies at Seasons? A good movie? So, even though this party was for her too, she understands that Katie is 3 and I think she's ok with sharing the limelight.
